Gigi’s Recovery

The Murder Capital | Human Season Records

Post-punk band The Murder Capital return for their second studio album, the soul-bearing Gigi’s Recovery. Their latest record is a journey of healing, as the the Irish quintet provide some hard-hitting, but sincere lyricism, alongside some beautifully textured synths. Deeply personal and experimental, we’re excited about the new direction they’re going in.

Ryuichi Sakamoto | Milan

With more than 10 live albums and several compilation albums, respected Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto is not slowing down. 12 is a truly emotional experience, as his latest record was recorded in the wake of a cancer diagnosis. The album is extremely intimate, as Sakamoto stares down his own mortality, for his graceful and wonderfully absorbing 12th studio album.

Sky Void of Stars

Hauntingly beautiful. Swedish band Katatonia add to their illustrious catalogue on their 12th studio album. The band have had a significant impact on death metal over the past 30 years, but have leaned towards a progressive rock sound on their latest offering. Now settled with their new style, fans will be pleased that Sky Void of Stars has so much energy and wisdom. Its clear that Katatonia still have plenty to offer.

Alt-country singer-songwriter Margo Price follows up her autobiography with Strays, her fourth studio album. After wrestling with her past, regret is replaced by a sense of calm, with Price’s storytelling standing her apart from the rest. With exquisite rock riffs, powerful lyrics and stunning vocals, Price blends funk, blues and heartland rock in an album that encapsulate the Nashville stars life.
